Hi John,

This Tuesday will be my last day as Executive Director of the Maine Democratic Party.

I have loved my three years at the party, first as Field Director, then as Executive Director and I am extraordinarily proud of what we -- the MDP staff, our Party leadership, State Committee, County and Municipal committees, volunteers, and donors -- have done together.
 
We helped elect Janet Mills as the first female Governor in Maine’s history, flipped the second Congressional district for Jared Golden, re-elected Chellie Pingree twice, took control of the Maine State Senate, held our majorities in the State House, and delivered Maine for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. We did much of this work while facing down a global pandemic that was upending our lives. I am so very grateful to have had all of you on this journey with me.
 
But the work is not done, for me or for the party. The Maine Democratic Party is in extraordinary hands with Chair Drew Gattine, Vice Chair Bev Uhlenhake, and our next Executive Director Gaetan Davis.
 
I have always worked to leave the party a little better and stronger than when I started. That’s why I am asking for your help one last time today. I want Gaetan to start off her tenure with the strongest possible foundation for growth.
 
Would you help me mark a new era for the Maine Dems by making a gift of $20.22 to help the party continue its great work of electing Democrats up and down the ticket?

As I wind down my chapter here, I am looking forward to time with my wife, time in the garden, and serving the party in new ways. But I will never forget what we accomplished together; you have made a lasting impact on this state, and on me.
