Problem Solvers Caucus & Senate allies work together on bipartisan infrastructure plan: Help us encourage them!
This week, the House Problem Solvers Caucus released their bipartisan infrastructure framework and partnered up with their Senate allies to find a way to pass legislation that invests in America’s roads and bridges, public transportation, water and energy systems, airports, waterways, power grid, and broadband networks. It goes without saying, although said too often, that this is a moment in history that will be remembered one way or another. All of us have the power to help shape history. THIS is our moment to make a difference. We need to band together and make our voices heard to help keep these negotiations alive. Congress' most successful bipartisan gang lives in the House — not the Senate
By Sarah Ferris

A few dozen House members helped bring bipartisan talks back from the dead on a massive spending bill passed six months ago. Now they want to do it again — in President Joe Biden's Washington. The bipartisan 58-member coalition known as the Problem Solvers Caucus took something of a half-court buzzer shot this week by releasing its own version of an infrastructure deal, determined to keep talks alive between the president and Senate Republicans at least a bit longer before Democrats bound toward their own party-line bill.

Bipartisan group avoids partisan hurdles in infrastructure talks
By Lindsey McPherson

Members of a bipartisan Senate group negotiating a fallback infrastructure plan say they will avoid tax increases and user fees, but include climate-related spending, in a bid to get past obstacles that have tripped up progress on a $1 trillion-plus package thus far. Bipartisan lawmakers prep $878B infrastructure plan as White House-GOP negotiations drag
By Jacqui Heinrich, Evie Fordham

Lawmakers involved in the $878 billion plan include Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., Mitt Romney, R-Utah, Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Rob Portman, R-Ohio, plus Reps. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., and Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa. There are still unresolved questions about the amount of new spending, and whether it would be better suited for an eight-year plan rather than the original five.

A bipartisan group of House lawmakers unveils an infrastructure proposal
By Emily Cochrane

A group of bipartisan House lawmakers unveiled their own framework for an infrastructure package, as Democrats wrestle with how to advance President Biden’s ambitions for a sweeping economic agenda and whether to restructure the plan to win Republican votes. The so-called Problems Solvers Caucus, a group of 29 Democrats and 29 Republicans in the House, put forward a plan for $761.8 billion in new spending, as part of an overall $1.249 trillion plan over eight years.
