Friends,
This week, I continued to argue for more effective policies to secure our borders and prevent illegal immigration. I also spoke at an Energy and Commerce Committee meeting about the need to protect American energy infrastructure and American energy independence, and spoke at the groundbreaking for the expansion of SIRE’s therapeutic horse facility in Spring.
Helping constituents with problems they are having with federal agencies continues to be a top priority for my office. If you or someone you know are having an issue with a federal agency and need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to my office. I have a full team in Texas and in the nation's capital ready to assist you.
Sincerely,

There is nothing funny about the border crisis. But Kamala Harris can't help but laugh when she's asked about her proposed solutions to stem the tide of illegal immigration and secure our border. What this administration is realizing is that years of signaling to illegal immigrants that they could cross our borders with no consequences has led to the worst border crisis in decades.
We need to reimplement the policies - Remain in Mexico, asylum cooperation agreements, and physical infrastructure like the border wall - to prevent this crisis from continuing. And Joe Biden and Kamala Harris need to start taking the border crisis they created seriously instead of treating it as a laughing matter.
WE NEED TO PROTECT AMERICAN ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

At an Energy and Commerce Committee meeting this week, I spoke about the need to protect American energy infrastructure and American energy independence.
Russia is obviously not our friend and they’ve been responsible for a variety of attacks on our energy infrastructure, including the Colonial Pipeline most recently. But Russia is also trying to out-compete us when it comes to global energy dominance. We can't let that continue.
I stressed the need to prevent radical environmentalists from weakening American energy independence by shutting down pipelines and our ability to export natural gas. Global energy demand is only going to increase in the coming decades, and if we weaken our energy capabilities through foolish policies like the Green New Deal, we are going to cede energy dominance to polluters like Russia or Iran. That will be a big set-back to a shared goal of Republicans and Democrats: lowering global emissions and making sure the United States leads the world in energy production.

The tenet of Critical Race Theory is that your skin color determines your fate in life. What happens when you teach children to believe that? Dr. Richard Johnson knows, and he's fighting to stop it and the rest of the woke left's Marxist ideology from being further incorporated into America's classrooms. He joins me to talk about the real change that's needed in our education culture, ending the school to prison pipeline in minority communities, and expanding access to school choice where it's needed most.
Richard A. Johnson, Ed.D., is the director of the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Booker T. Washington Initiative which examines the effects of public policy on African-American communities.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, joined "Fox & Friends" Friday, to provide insight into the Pentagon diversity training program, arguing the military is the most "inclusive" institution worldwide.
Dozens of board members, sponsors and community members were at the groundbreaking, including U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who said he was a big fan of equine therapy, which he had used after being injured in Afghanistan in 2012, causing the loss of one of his eyes.
“I jumped on that opportunity immediately because it’s empowering, and for the people you work with here, it’s life changing,” Crenshaw said. “Whether it’s for mobility or that freedom or just the sensation of this amazing animal that you’re working with, I think the work you do here is incredibly impactful and meaningful.”
