Friend — That’s how many bills GOP officials across 48 states have introduced in this legislative session that aim to restrict voting rights and undermine our democracy. At least three dozen of these bills are working their way through the Michigan Legislature as we speak.

State Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey and his cronies will do everything in their power to get these bills across the finish line, and you better bet national Republicans will be keeping a close eye on Michigan to see if they can get away with the same voter suppression in their states.

We must stop these bills dead in their tracks. The MDP is already hard at work preparing to launch our Voter Protection Hotline and supporting our year-round organizing staff. But those efforts require your full support.

That's why we're launching our Voter Protection Fund to help protect the right to vote and elect Democrats up and down the ticket in 2022. Will you help us reach our $10,000 goal to fund these critical programs?

With our democracy at stake, the MDP is doing all we can to fight back. We’re testifying at public hearings, engaging with voters across the state, and preparing to take these fights to court if we have to.

But we need to massively scale up our efforts. There's simply too much at stake for us to stop now — not when Republicans will stop at nothing to propose laws to keep voters from the polls.

Rush a rapid response donation right now and help us raise $10,000 for our Voter Protection Fund.

Thank you,

Michigan Dems
