This year’s Great Get Together will be different, but it’s still a great way to celebrate HOPE in difficult times.Hi John,
I don’t know about you, but the last year has been a mixture. It’s been
incredibly tough in so many ways - the lockdown, a bout of illness, difficulty
for people I love. And of course, it’s been really tough for the whole country.
But there’s also been some amazing scenes of community spirit and resilience in
the face of hardship.
I’m looking forward to celebrating those good things at next week’s Great Get
Together, organised by our friends at the Jo Cox Foundation, and I want to
invite all HOPE not hate supporters to find an event close by to join too.

it was well-organised, with mutual aid groups springing up doing great work to
get help to people, to collect for food banks, and to get people to and from
hospital. It’s not just the well-organised that we can celebrate. In my street,
there have been so many simple acts of neighbourly kindness, and I am sure it’s
the same for you in your community.
The Great Get Together is a chance to celebrate these new connections and
encourage further community engagement - all things that can give us HOPE.
To give voice to those acts of hope, we want to flood our social media accounts
with messages from our supporters. Can you take 60 seconds to share your
message? Maybe you want to say thank you to people who have helped you or share
that you have new found hope for your area - it can be anything. Share your
message and we’ll make our social media channels a flood of hope next week.
Share what gives you hope
