A Big Week

This is a big week for Indiana Republicans, bookended by two exciting events. It started last Saturday when your state Republican Party hosted a training for new county GOP officers.  Nearly 100 new and returning county officers joined us at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds for our day-long training. It was exciting to see so many dedicated and enthusiastic county officers give up a Saturday during their summer for this valuable seminar. We covered campaign basics, using data, communications and media relations, fundraising, and several other topics. This passion and dedication at the grassroots level is how we’ll continue our Republican winning streak in Indiana.

And this week closes out with another big event. It’s tonight, in fact (provided that you’re reading this on Friday). I’m looking forward to our Spring Dinner this evening, the first large-scale gathering of Hoosier Republicans since the pandemic started. We’ve got a great keynote speaker lined up, Arkansas gubernatorial candidate and former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, you still have a few hours to do so. More information is below.

Thanks

Kyle

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was

Building One Indiana for All

Governor Holcomb has named Brad Chambers, the president, CEO, and founder of Buckingham Comapnies, as the state's new Secretary of Commerce. He will begin his new role on July 6. Together, Governor Holcomb and Brad Chambers will continue breaking jobs and economic development records.

“There is no one more qualified to lead our economic development efforts than someone who’s been a leader in the business for 35 years. Not only has Brad created, grown and expanded his business from the ground up, he’s been focused on how his work contributes to making Indiana the best place to invest, work, and live for his entire career." -Governor Holcomb

Governor Holcomb also attended the Fraternal Order of Police Conference in French Lick. Governor Holcomb thanked Hoosier law enforcement officers for their commitment to keeping our state safe and for their help in passing House Bill 1006.

Sen. Young's Endless Frontier Act

Senator Todd Young’s Endless Frontier Act passed the Senate with wide bipartisan support. Senator Young’s landmark bill is designed to out-compete China in key emerging technology areas critical to our national security.

“This bill, this moment, it’s not only about beating the Chinese Communist Party; the Endless Frontier Act is about using their challenge to become a better version of ourselves through investment in innovation.” -Senator Young
