Wollaton Hall and Deer Park Newstead Abbey
The manicured gardens and beautiful ruins of Newstead Abbey and the spectacular Elizabethan mansion and park at Wollaton are once again offering a fantastic season of open air theatre performances throughout the summer. The first performance of the year:?Mr?Stink?- the David Walliams best seller, is at Wollaton Hall on Saturday. But, tickets are selling fast so don't delay. Please book ahead wherever possible.
Enjoy deft physicality, vibrant story-telling, fast-paced drama, plenty of music making, and many a quick costume change along the way! The season includes performances for all; kids stories,?to classic Shakespeare, to more modern classics.
The Newstead season starts a little bit later (Thursday?22 July to Friday 20 August), still offering the same mix of performances to delight children and adults alike with Mr Stink paying a visit as well as A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Wind in the Willows, and The Great Gatsby.
Grab some friends (or your bubble), a picnic, a lawn chair or rug and while away a pleasant summer?s evening.?All events have covid safety measures in place.

Forest Recreation Ground Mansfield Vaccination Centre (8am-6pm)
Walk-in Covid-19 jabs are available this weekend - Those currently eligible include anybody aged 25+, clinically vulnerable, and clinically extremely vulnerable people, and carers.
The Pfizer vaccine is available at either site to anyone eligible for their first dose.
If you need, there is a free shuttle bus available to get to sites.

Two-time Grand Slam finalist Kevin Anderson and Richard Gasquet head a strong entry list for the ATP Challenger event at the LTA?s Nottingham Trophy
The duo are among seven entrants within the world top 100 including Japan?s Yoshihito Nishioka, Italy?s Andreas Seppi and USA?s Tennys Sandgren.
