Dear John, My warmest greetings to you as we find ourselves halfway through the year! If you are receiving this email, it is because you have previously indicated your support towards the National Party in the Selwyn electorate and I am very grateful for that! I am starting up this monthly email highlighting what has been happening in and around the electorate, as well as upcoming events, or anything else interesting.
Standing Up for FarmersThe recent floods have devastated much of Mid-Canterbury and farmers across the region have begun the monumental tasks of cleaning up the shingle, mud, silt, rock and debris left by flooded rivers. I have been across the electorate over the past few weeks seeing the damage first-hand and I am pushing this Government to give the primary sector the support it needs at this time. Public Meeting with Chris BishopOn Thursday 17 June at 3:30pm, I will be hosting a public meeting with National's Covid-19 Spokesperson Chris Bishop MP. This is an opportunity to hear from Chris about New Zealand's pandemic response, including the state of New Zealand's vaccination roll-out - with New Zealand having one of the lowest vaccination rates in the OECD - and prospects for the future. This is also an opportunity to hear from Chris about any other topics you may be interested in, including current events.
