Some recent news stories, or news related stories, serve as a reminder to all of us that we must always be careful about how we take in information. If we are not careful, we will read manipulative headlines that make us feel alright, and not pay any attention to the misdeeds that are going on right before our eyes. Such as this uncritical reporting of this $200 billion spending bill offered up by CNN. Now it's true, CNN has just reported what the Senate has done, on a surface level. The problem is that there is critical analysis of this. Read another way: the Senate just gave $200 billion to big tech, which are some of the richest and most powerful corporations and already hires the best in internet technology. Are we supposed to believe that Big Tech is falling behind someone and needs a bailout to keep up? What nonsense! This is Congress looting. That's what it is. And CNN's Senate corespondent either doesn't know enough, or isn't thinking to question why Congress would give away $200
billion. Probably because whoever the correspondent is, they're used to seeing Congress find excuses to give away our money.

** A PBS Frontline special is the latest vehicle in a PR campaign to legitimize rebranded Syrian al-Qaeda, HTS, and market its leader Mohammad Jolani as a competent American “asset.”

While we're on the topic of Syria, the Young Turks, who took $20 million from Clinton mega-donor Jeffrey Katzenberg to "move to the middle" and who didn't send anyone to Syria to cover the Syrian election, smeared Aaron Maté on their show, and a wave of pro-war trolling on Twitter exploited the smear. In case these trolls had you confused, or if you are confused by mainstream media or their coverage of Syrian elections, here is Aaron Maté's 7 minute response to being smeared by TYT and a short primer on the recent history of Syria. If you're confused about Syria, this is the clarity you're looking for.

And if you still think there is some reason to believe that Assad gassed Douma, then please listen to the Member of the European Parliament for Ireland South, Mick Wallace, read it right from the OPCW's internal files: the initial report showed no gas attack, toxicology revealed no gas attack, then a second report was fabricated with no science to back it up, and five whistle blowers have been covered up. But the mainstream media is not reporting on this at all. Not even in Europe.

Before California's own "Oops" girl had her "Don't come!" disaster, in which Vice President Kamala Harris did her best Donald Trump impression, she made an agreement with the President of Guatemala, which was widely reported as "Kamala Harris details efforts to stem the tide of migrants to the US". Already you can see, just by the headline calling refugees that are seeking asylum "migrants" is already not an honest portrayal, but you would have to do some research to find out that the fact sheet of this cooperation agreement says that the US will:
1) Give US corporate farming companies $6 million to expand
2) Give $15 million to Banco Internacional
3) Create a regional taskforce to prevent migration
4) Gives the US DoJ the authority to confiscate money exploited from Guatemalans.
How will this help everyday Guatemalans? Nothing will stop people from fleeing like stable and secure lives. How is helping Chiquita and Dole expand their enterprises, giving bankers money or giving the US the authority to confiscate money stolen from Guatemalans or creating another task force going to give Guatemalans stability and security?
