Friend,

Facebook just suspended Donald Trump from using its platform until 2023 – which means he won’t be able to spread inflammatory lies, lash out at his opponents, or incite violence on the platform for the next year and a half.

This is a step forward, but it’s not enough. Beginning November 3, 2020, Trump has continued daily endangering the cornerstone of our democracy by spreading his Big Lie about the election through every means available to him. Most especially on January 6, 2021, one of the darkest days in American history, when he inspired a violent mob of his supporters to storm the Capitol.

Since his social media accounts were temporarily suspended, Donald Trump has continued to spread lies – lies that, if amplified on social media, could pose serious harm to our democratic institutions. Now, Trump wants his Facebook account back to speak directly to the 81% of American adults who have an account.

As Mark Zuckerberg considers whether to let Trump back on his platform, I’m counting on people like you to share where you stand. We need 1,000 people to answer this one-question poll before midnight tonight, so I’m hoping to get your response right now:

Should Facebook allow Donald Trump back on its platform?

Thank you,

Dick
