The Village of Oswego's mosquito abatement contractor, Clarke, will begin spraying for adult mosquitoes throughout the Village on Friday evening, weather permitting. Mosquito spraying begins in the evening when mosquitoes are most active and continues into the early morning hours.?Read more about this year's mosquito program.?
Residents who have questions about the Village?s mosquito control program, want to report standing water or nuisance mosquito levels, or would like to sign-up for advance notifications of scheduled treatments are encouraged to contact our mosquito contractor Clarke through its online?Resident Hotline.

The Village of Oswego and Village President Troy Parlier invite senior residents to learn more about the operations and future of our water system at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Well 11 Water Tower, 6701 Tuscany Trail, Oswego. Participants will get to tour the water tower, and Village staff will be available to answer questions about what's happening around Oswego.?

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is conducting a Rail Needs Assessment Study to identify rail improvements that are needed throughout the state. IDOT is hosting a virtual public event to present information on rail service throughout the State and gather feedback.

Finance Assistant
The Village of Oswego is seeking a forward thinking, detail oriented, self starter to serve as the next Finance Assistant.
This position follows established purchasing and disbursements procedures utilizing the department?s financial system, answers inquires from residents in person and by phone, supports utility billing, processes payments of all types, maintains the fixed asset system, reconciles bank accounts, and creates reports and spreadsheets, controls the vendor file and enforces financial policies/procedures.
Candidates must possess a two-year degree in accounting, business or similar, plus at least two years of office experience or equivalent experience. A four-year degree and experience in municipal government accounting preferred. Strong communication skills are required.
