Friends,

I'm fighting back against President Trump's ongoing efforts to shut the door on science -- including his executive order to eliminate hundreds of scientific advisory committees that ensure our federal regulations are based on the latest evidence.

That's why I introduced the Preserve Science in Policymaking Act to block Trump from dissolving these committees without the approval of apolitical civil servants and a public notice and comment period.

If you believe that our researchers -- and the facts -- must have a seat at the table, sign our official petition to voice your support for the Preserve Science in Policymaking Act >>

Illinois is one of the only states that gets more than half of our energy from renewable sources, and tens of thousands of jobs depend on the Great Lakes, federal research grants, and federal agencies.

If Trump's executive order goes unchecked, it would likely shutter the Great Lakes advisory committee and countless other committees whose crucial work drives federal decision-making and spending.

President Trump's attempts to deny science put our environment, our economy, and our families at risk.

There's too much at stake -- add your name to help stop Trump from unilaterally slashing scientific advisory committees >>

Trump may have lost his grip on reality -- but I refuse to allow him to take the rest of this country with him.

Thank you,

Sean
