Congress is poised to take bold action in ensuring inclusive, equitable jobs for everyone by passing the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act (TCIEA). If passed, the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act would end subminimum wage for people with disabilities, and create new opportunities to help us get and keep real jobs with real pay. Will you take action to end the subminimum wage for people with disabilities? Disabled people in sheltered workshops have been underpaid for decades. Our communities deserve integrated employment and payment at or above the minimum wage. The Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act would make that goal a reality.
