What’s the TL;DR? This summer, we’re releasing some changes to our Call Time Mobile app that are going to make it one of the most advanced and easy-to-use tools available for political fundraising.
If you’ve been following the political fundraising news, you know that we’re seeing some regulatory rulings come out that have broad implications for us as fundraisers. I’ve been working with our team to understand the implications of these rulings and adjusted our trajectory to help keep you in compliance without losing any momentum. We’ll be sharing more about our response to these changes soon.
No matter what the final outcome is, I think it’s safe to say that you are going to want to make the most of the research you’ve gathered independently so you can keep nurturing those one-on-one relationships you’ll need to carry out a successful campaign.
So, let’s talk about how this is going to affect the heart of your fundraising program: Call Time.
All the supporter research you’ve gathered is the key to making the right ask to the right person. And, if you’re anything like me, you probably have some strong feelings about what your candidate needs to see to make successful calls. Our paper call sheets have always been wildly configurable and highly customized. Later this month, we’ll be extending that same ability to our Call Time Mobile app, so you can include all the information you need your candidate to know, while keeping the screen streamlined and not cluttered. And, since we know that quick follow-up after a call is the key to making sure those promises of support come through, we’re going to give you the ability to spin up some templates that will help your candidate send a quick thank you via text or email while tracking those responses in your database. You can look for that update coming early this summer.

Antonia Koch, our current Director of Fundraising Campaigns, sat down with our video team recently to share some of her secrets to improving your Call Time results. Antonia comes to NGP VAN with broad experience from her lifetime of work with organizations like EMILY’s List, as well as serving as finance director on multiple campaigns at the statewide and Congressional levels - including Jon Ossoff’s record-breaking Congressional campaign in GA - 06.
