Friend,

In January, Democrats reclaimed a slim majority in the Senate to put an end to Mitch McConnell's era of obstruction and finally enact democracy reform, equal pay, gun violence prevention, and more. But recently, 35 Republican senators -- led by McConnell -- blocked a bipartisan bill to establish a January 6 commission using the filibuster.

They're trying to protect their agenda and their alliance with Donald Trump by obstructing the truth -- and that's only the beginning. McConnell and his allies are prepared to filibuster anything that will move our country forward. We can't let them.

Since the 1920s, the Senate's filibuster has blocked everything from anti-lynching and civil rights legislation to health care and environmental protection bills. Jason believes it's past time to end the filibuster, and he wants to know if you agree. Do you support ending the filibuster friend?

Recently, Jason led 100 of his Democratic colleagues to demand an end to the filibuster. They want to ensure the bills they pass have a fair shot at becoming law and that the voices of the American people speak louder than a minority of senators.

There's so much work ahead to get this country back on track. Voting rights, democracy reform, LGBTQ+ rights, justice in policing, and COVID-19 recovery bills can't be dead-on-arrival in the Senate.

Friend, before the Senate takes up voting rights legislation later this month, we want your take: Do you support ending the filibuster to restore our democracy and ensure everyone has the ability to cast their vote? Take our short survey now to let us know →
