And now Lafayette Square Park.

Again and again, the media jump to conclusions and publish stories that later turn out to be lies. This week, an Inspector General report said that despite widespread media depictions otherwise, the United States Park Police (USPP) did not clear Lafayette Park on June 1, 2020 to arrange a photo-op for President Trump.

NPR, CNN, ABC News, and countless other outlets each ran stories saying that police tear-gassed peaceful protestors to move them out of the way for Trump’s entourage.

This turned out to be a lie.

John, you and I must hold these alleged “journalists” accountable.

You and I deserve an explanation for why they lied to us. We deserve to know what steps they’ll take to prevent this sort of mistake from happening again.
