Dear allies,

This week, members of Congress took a concrete step to protect the right to access abortion care in the U.S. by introducing the Women's Health Protection Act (more on that below!).

At such a crucial time in the fight for reproductive rights, I wanted to take a moment to also remind you that when you make a gift of $35 or more, a group of Center donors has pledged to make it go FOUR TIMES as far. Your gift will be put straight to work defending abortion access inside and outside the courtroom.

Dozens of cases challenging extreme anti-abortion laws are making their way through the courts—but the court system takes time and, in the meantime, people across the country are losing access to the essential health care they need.

It's clear that we need a long-term solution to defending abortion rights and access from the constant onslaught of attacks—that solution is WHPA. With the generous support of people like you, we'll keep working to make it happen.

In solidarity,

Dear team,

We have some big news: Today, the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) was reintroduced in the U.S. Congress!

This important federal legislation would protect the right to access abortion care across the U.S. WHPA defends every person's right to make decisions about whether and when to become a parent, and safeguards abortion access from medically unnecessary restrictions and bans.

But we need your help protecting abortion access—and it only takes a minute. Tell your representatives to support the Women's Health Protection Act now!

This year is on track to be the most devastating for abortion rights in decades, with lawmakers already introducing scores of abortion restrictions in state legislatures across the U.S. And just a few weeks ago, the U.S. Supreme Court took our case challenging a Mississippi abortion ban that presents a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade.

Attacks on abortion access are increasing, disproportionately harming people who already face obstacles to accessing health care, particularly Black, Indigenous, and people of color, women, people working to make ends meet, the LGBTQI+ community, immigrants, young people, and people with disabilities.

It's clear we need a law that protects our right to access abortion, free from unnecessary restrictions. We need WHPA. Contact your representative today and tell them to support this critical legislation.

After all, abortion is not a right if only some people can access it. We all deserve access to the essential health care we need, including abortion, and the right to determine our own futures. The Women's Health Protection Act is essential to making this a reality, no matter where you live.

Thank you for standing with us.

In solidarity,
