John,
There are some very alarming trends happening in today’s Republican Party. As QAnon increasingly infiltrates the ranks of the GOP, with the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert becoming more powerful than traditional leaders, so-called “conservatives” like Ken Buck are showing their true colors.
Last week at a QAnon-sponsored conference, when disgraced retired General Michael Flynn was asked if a Myanmar-style coup could happen here to return Donald Trump to the presidency, Flynn replied: "No reason. I mean, it should happen here. No reason" why it couldn’t. Flynn openly endorsed the idea of a military coup returning Trump to power with force, and violence.
Buck recently voted against a simple bipartisan resolution to condemn the bloody military coup in Malaysia. He was one of 14 Members of Congress, all Republicans, to do so along with—you guessed it—Greene and Boebert.
