[1]Bowman for Congress
John,
Earlier this week, Jamaal went on CNN to give the progressive perspective
on Joe Manchin's latest announcement that he won't support the For The
People Act — and folks are resonating with what he had to say.

There's no doubt that Jamaal's leading the way when it comes to calling
out lawmakers like Joe Manchin who stand directly in the way of achieving
progress, John. Our movement must
mobilize and continue to apply pressure while this strong momentum is
behind us, right now.
If Democrats don't answer the call from progressives to deliver change
now, our party will lose upcoming elections. We need to take full
advantage of this moment and take Jamaal's lead when it comes to demanding
change without compromise from our Senate leaders — to reject the status
quo, and to join the fight for our democracy.

John, and we need your support. Will you chip
in $3 to our campaign and support Jamaal's leadership in
Congress?

The crises we face are immense and urgent. Now is not the time to accept
that a couple of Democrats — along with virtually every Republican — are
going to hold hostage the legislation our country needs to address the big
crises we face.
This continued obstruction of social and economic progress doesn't serve
the American people, Republican or Democrat. It serves the interests of
corporations, billionaires, and the outrageously wealthy. Joe Manchin and
a handful of Senators are standing between us and progress, because they
answer to the corporate interests of our political system — but the system
is much bigger than them.
Look, John. Our current
Congress has a historic, unprecedented opportunity to act. Our leaders
were elected by voters to deliver results, progresive change, and bold
legislation.
It's simply unacceptable that some leaders — like Joe Manchin — are
blocking progress and undermining democracy, while others — like Jamaal —
continue to boldly legislate and hold their colleagues accountable for
their actions.
[ [link removed] ]John, no
matter what, Jamaal will continue to build his time and priorities in
Congress around legislating to save our democracy and work towards a
future where we can all thrive. Please chip in and support his leadership
today.
In solidarity,
Team Bowman
