John -- We thought we'd check in on some of our (least) favorite Republican House members. What are they up to?
- Louie Gohmert spoke at a QAnon conference, where he spread lies about the January 6 insurrection.
- Matt Gaetz suggested that "we have an obligation to use [the Second Amendment]" against tech companies he sees as censoring conservatives.
- Marjorie Taylor Greene compared COVID-19 mask mandates with the Holocaust.
Want to know what all these members have in common, other than extremism? They all represent gerrymandered districts -- and if we can end gerrymandering (chip in to help us do it!), it will go a long way toward preventing extremists like these from getting to Congress.
Here's the bad news, John: Republicans control the redistricting process in the states that are home to all of these districts. But despite that we're fighting to secure fair maps by engaging the public, demanding transparency, analyzing redistricting proposals, and holding GOP map-drawers accountable.
