Big Weekend for vaccinations: Forest Recreation Ground, 12 & 13 June
Vaccination event this weekend________________________________________________________________________

The NHS is holding a big weekend of walk-in vaccinations at the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham on Saturday and Sunday 12 & 13 June 2021.

Anyone aged over 25 will be able to go along and have their first dose Covid-19 jab without making an appointment between 8am and 6pm each day.

The vaccination centre will offer Pfizer-only jabs on those days. A free shuttle bus will run to Forest Rec in an hourly-loop around Radford, Arboretum, Hyson Green and St Ann?s.

It?s vital that we encourage as many people as possible to get vaccinated. Our city is unfortunately lagging behind other areas when it comes to vaccination take-up. Rates are increasing and indications are that they could continue to do so.

Vaccination is the most important thing we can do to help us continue along the roadmap and prevent any backward step where we might see the freedoms we are enjoying now close again.

With temperatures set to soar over the weekend, health bosses are urging the public to prepare for the heat by wearing a hat, putting on suncream and bringing water if they are planning on coming down to get their vaccine as people may have to queue.?
