With the beginning of June, comes the start of Pride Month! This is a time for us to celebrate and stand with the LGBTQ+ community.
In recent years our country has made great strides in the fight for equality due to the courageousness of the LGBTQ+ community. Congress has also been busy with passage of the Equality Act in the House of Representatives. However, there is still more that needs to be done to combat hate and promote true equality for our friends, family, and neighbors.
I am proud to stand as an ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and join in the fight for progress.
