In capitalist news and corporate media, we are often presented with a binary choice of the environment versus the economy. Both Democrats and Republicans often claim that we can either have a healthy, livable planet or a strong, stable economy, but it’s impossible to have both. Is this really the case? Should we commit to one or the other, or is there a way to fight for the two together?

ATLDSA comrades! Let's join the Demilitarize Atlanta 2 Palestine coalition this Saturday as we rally in front of Atlanta City Hall to demand that Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms end the Georgia International Law Enforcement Exchange (GILEE)! Militarization is taking place both at home and abroad. Sending Atlanta Law enforcement to train with the Israeli Defense Forces further perpetuates the cycle of state violence and white supremacy. Show up on the 12th to let Keisha know that Atlanta wants to #GetGILEEGone.
 

Juneteenth celebration and fundraiser!

Nobody is free until everybody is free! Juneteenth is a celebration of Black heritage and freedom - and a great time to reflect on what our future looks like as a movement and a people.

 

Primarily, we're here in a spirit of gratitude and friendship.

 

Atlanta DSA is made up of working people of all stripes and types. So, to properly celebrate Juneteenth, we need some cash. Chip in and support our organizing efforts and our community partners. This money will go towards the food, fun, and future of our communities.
