While results are still being finalized, we can confidently project that 3 of our 4 endorsed candidates in Virginia secured a win in their primaries yesterday and are headed to the general election in November!
- Irene Shin, the executive director of the Virginia Civic Engagement Table, won a competitive primary in the 86th District with 52% of the vote.
- Elizabeth Guzman, who as a Delegate helped pass two bills getting IDs in the hands of those who need them most, won her primary with at least 52.6% of the vote.
- Lashrecse Aird, who as a Delegate has worked to supply formerly incarcerated communities with IDs, won her primary!
