She’s a civil servant, a labor union leader, and the Executive Director of Stand Up Nashville. (And right now, she’s really excited that the Memphis Grizzlies just followed her on Twitter! 🤩)
She’s a proud mom, and in between campaign events, she’s hard at work teaching her kids how to drive — without having a heart attack in the process.
She believes in affordable housing for everyone, a $15 federal minimum wage, good-paying union jobs through the Green New Deal.
And she is the only candidate in TN-05’s congressional race who’s personally experienced the ways the system failed her and her community, and who’s committed to making change.

Ok, now that you’ve met Odessa, meet her opponent: Congressman Jim Cooper.
He supported cuts to Social Security and Medicare, opposed President Obama’s Stimulus Package following the Great Recession, and he voted against struggling Americans receiving stimulus checks.
He also voted against the Americans with Disabilities Act, a bill with broad bipartisan support in Congress. It’s the cornerstone of civil rights for people with disabilities in this country, and he’s the only Congressman still in office to have voted against it.
He’s deep in the pockets of corporate PACs representing weapons manufacturers and real estate developers, and he’ll do everything he can to hold onto power.
Jim Cooper puts balance sheets before people, but we don’t have to stand for it anymore.
Odessa’s got what it takes to win this election, but we can’t do it alone. So we’re politely asking — will you show us some support today?
