Preliminary investigations show that hundreds of members from white supremacist groups like the Proud Boys worked in unision to break into the Capitol and attack law enforcement on January 6.
But it seems the Republicans who claim Trump's mob was made of “tourists” also forgot that rioters were calling to “hang Mike Pence” -- because they blocked a January 6 commission bill that would have properly investigated the attack.
Mitch McConnell used the filibuster to block the bill because according to him, you and every American in the country “ought to focus on what Biden's administration is doing to the country” -- not the biggest attack on our Capitol in 200 years.
If there was ever a time to abolish the filibuster to pass critical legislation, this is it. This is about the future of our democracy and holding those who attacked it accountable.
