"Joe Manchin has become the new Mitch McConnell."

Justice Democrats

John,

Since Senator Joe Manchin announced he’d vote against critical voting rights legislation AND oppose ending the filibuster, Justice Democrats have spoken out in frustration. Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman haven’t held anything back.

Speaking on Manchin’s opposition to the For The People Act, to protect our elections and stop the racist Republican voter suppression laws in states across the country, Jamaal said, “Joe Manchin has become the new Mitch McConnell...Manchin is doing everything in his power to stop democracy and to stop our work for the people.” It’s blunt, but it’s true.

And if more Democrats followed the lead of Justice Democrats like Jamaal, Manchin would feel the pressure to change his position. But the Democratic establishment is staying silent because corporate Democrats are complicit in Manchin’s obstruction. This is serious: We need your help right now to transform the Democratic Party right away and elect more Justice Democrats to push through an agenda for the people, not corporations. Chip in $3 or more today to fuel our work to retire corporate Democrats and make real change in this country.

Contribute $3

Cori Bush made her thoughts known on Manchin as well. She said, “Our movement was at the heart of the organizing that won us the 2020 elections. Now conservative Dems block our progress. Join us in saving lives or get out of our way.”

Here at Justice Democrats the very core of our work is building a future where establishment Democrats get out of the way and pass desperately needed legislation for the people of this country. We can only do that with the help of folks like you chipping in what they can afford, when they can.

So, today we’re asking: Can you rush a donation of $3 or anything at all to help us elect more progressives and send corporate Democrats into retirement?

Let’s get to work and change this country.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
