For Congress to start actually working on behalf of the American people, it needs to pass legislation — but Democrats have let the GOP railroad every attempt at progress and change.

The time for negotiations is over in the Senate: you can’t negotiate with a party that wants to destroy voting rights and you can’t negotiate a jobs plan with a party that doesn’t want to create good-paying union jobs.

It’s simple: the filibuster is racist, classist, and undemocratic.

Preserving the filibuster and giving Republicans unchecked power is a slap in the face of everyone who volunteered, donated, and voted for Democrats in November.
