Team, we’re in the process of identifying our target races for 2022, and I want to get your input.
The mission is simple: Defeat the “Sedition Caucus,” the members of Congress whose actions instigated the January 6th attack and who continue to perpetuate the Big Lie that inspired it.
We know we can’t take on every single Republican here, even though sometimes it feels like we might need to. I have no intention of wasting time or money on races where we can’t make an impact. That’s why Democratic Majority Action is focused on going after the most dangerous, most beatable members of this group.
So far, we’ve announced Sen. Ron Johnson (WI) as our first target. He is easily the most prominent senator from a state Biden won who has repeatedly defended the January 6th attack and perpetuated the Big Lie.
No matter what, this won’t be your typical campaign, running a bunch of negative TV ads whose effectiveness is negligible. We’re building a network of voters who are speaking out — because the data is clear that people are much more likely to change their minds when they hear from real voices in their communities. That’s what we’re setting out to do in target races across the country.
