John,

It hit 90 degrees in Kansas City this week, and you better believe it was HOT in the kitchen at McDonald's.

I work in that kitchen. While working fast-food, I've been hungry and my family has been on the brink of homelessness. I'm sick and tired of it.

But I bet it was nice and crisp in CEO Chris Kempczinski's office where he pulled in a cool $10.8 million last year -- more than 1,189 times the average McDonald's worker.

If McDonald's can afford to pay its CEO 1,189 times what it pays its average workers, they can afford to pay a living wage. Paying any less than $15 is exploitation. Agree? Sign the petition >> [[link removed]]

Last month I took the fight to McDonald's Board of Directors. During their annual meeting, I called on them to listen to our demands: pay us $15, respect our right to a union.

The truth is, McDonald's could pay us $15 tomorrow, and every day they don't they keep families like mine struggling.

That's why thousands of us walked off the job last month. It's why we will continue to speak up, march, and STRIKE until that simple demand is met: $15/hr and a union.

We will WIN $15, we will WIN union rights, and we will WIN respect. Sign the petition to help get us there >> [[link removed]]
