Indivisibles,
By now, we bet you’ve seen the news about Joe Manchin, the For the People
Act, and the filibuster. (If you haven’t, [ [link removed] ]click here to read the
details and check out what our co-founder Ezra Levin had to say about it!)
And just last night, with Republicans filibustering yet another
common-sense bill to promote equal pay for equal work and Manchin simply
saying he's “disappointed,” it’s clearer than ever that our work isn’t
over.
Here’s where things stand: We’re not giving up. And frankly, this fight is
a lot bigger than Joe Manchin. It’s about all of us, building a massive
nationwide movement for a better democracy. So let’s talk about what we’re
going to do next.
Congress is going on recess at the end of this month, which means senators
will be back in their home districts for two weeks. We’ve already been
working with Indivisible activists and partners to plan a mobilization
around this moment, and it’s more important than ever that we make it the
biggest show of strength we can. That means planning hundreds of events,
showing up to district offices, flooding senators’ phone lines, and more.
We’re hard at work building the resources and buying the materials it’ll
take to make this recess a success. And we’re going to be spending
hundreds of thousands of dollars on event swag, printing postcards,
running ads, writing policy guides, and more. Whether you’re angry or
scared or pumped up, we believe that taking action can feel good and make
a real difference.
So the first thing we’re asking you to do is pledge to take action for
democracy reform this congressional recess. [ [link removed] ]Click here to let us know
you’re in, and we’ll send you all the details as soon as they’re ready.
Then, support our plans to make this mobilization happen by donating to
Indivisible Project. Grassroots donors like you are our biggest single
source of funding, and to pay for things like signs, websites, call tools,
postcards, and much more, we rely on you. [ [link removed] ]Click here to donate to

We know as well as anyone that when big news drops, it’s easy to get
discouraged or even to feel powerless. But this movement was built on the
idea that together, we can make our own power, and we have what it takes
to win. Each of us, working in our local communities to demand real
change, can do more than one senator ever could. We’ve done it before and
gotten major wins. And we can’t stop now.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
