But first, a quick note on why we’re launching this new initiative:
In March, a group of radical Republicans in the Georgia legislature rammed through SB 202, a Frankenstein monster of multiple anti-voter bills that set up new, expensive, unnecessary barriers to voting that disproportionately impact Black Georgians.
These legislators were inspired by the same “Big Lie” about the 2020 election that incited the January 6 insurrection at the Capitol -- a lie that continues to corrode our politics and damage our democracy.
But here’s the silver lining: Many of the Republicans who voted for SB 202 won their last elections by tiny margins. If we start preparing now, we CAN defeat them at the ballot box -- and replace them with champions who will defend our freedom to vote!
