Happy Pride Month, John!
Today we pause to celebrate the sacrifices and courage of the LGBTQ+ community on their quest to create a more loving and accepting world.
The bravery of figures like
Audre Lorde and
James Baldwin, both activists operating at the intersections of Blackness and queer identity, and lending their voices to the progression of our nation. Their work has been instrumental in both the quest for civil rights and equality for LGBTQ+ people, helping us reach the unprecedented acceptance and equality that we now enjoy.
We are honored to witness the fruits of their labor and recognize our duty to continue their legacy. The fight for equality is far from over, but we are committed to genuine allyship and community every step of the way.
As transgender and intersex communities struggle to have their humanity and personal identities recognized, we renew our commitment to uplift their voices and ensure that they are heard. Only together and with true love and compassion can we move forward in building a stronger and more inclusive nation.
