We are thrilled to welcome ([link removed]) Sangita Sigdyal as our incoming President and Chief Executive Officer as we continue our work of strengthening democracy for all voters by promoting the responsible use of technology in our elections.

A seasoned executive and collaborative leader with twenty plus years in the U.S. democracy and international development spaces, Sangita ([link removed]) brings experience with transformative scaling of social movements and organizations. She joins Verified Voting after serving as Executive Vice President at FairVote where she was a key architect of its current strategic plan, board development, long-term fiscal management and fundraising strategy. Prior to FairVote, she served in a key leadership role to scale the Open Government Partnership (OGP), a 75-country multilateral initiative that promotes government transparency through citizen engagement. She also held a variety of executive positions at the Results Educational Fund's Microcredit Summit Campaign and the World Bank, among others.

Sangita has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. She is originally from Nepal and currently lives in Virginia with her family, where she’ll be working with us full-time beginning in September.

Sangita is widely admired for her collaborative and inspiring leadership, absolute integrity, work ethic and her commitment to safeguarding American democracy, and she has a relentless focus on impact and results. We are thrilled to have Sangita at the helm of our organization!
