John,
It will take a movement to create the kind of large-scale change that will truly bring justice to our nation’s youth. The Children’s Defense Fund is building a movement for children fueled by our vision of a nation in which marginalized children flourish, leaders prioritize their well-being, and communities wield the power to assure they thrive. The CDF Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry is our spiritual and moral grounding for this hard work.
Every year, we gather as a diverse group of child advocates to listen to the voices of young people and those in the struggle, strategize, organize, and gain skills through plenaries and workshops as we prepare and renew ourselves for the mighty work to create the just world all children deserve. This July, to ensure everyone’s safety and accessibility, we will convene online for our 27th Annual CDF Proctor Institute. It has never been easier to join us, so we hope we can welcome new members of the Children’s Defense Fund family into our Beloved Community. Will you join us? 27th Annual CDF Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Child Advocacy Ministry July 20-22, 2021 Listening to the Children: A Radical Revolution of Values The struggle for a tomorrow worthy of our children can only be achieved through persistence and partnership. Please register and join us online for this year’s CDF Proctor Institute to learn about the good and necessary work already being done across the country, hear directly from young people, and strategize for how each of us can make a difference in the movement. We’re stronger together.
With gratitude,
Rev. Dr. Shannon Daley-Harris and Rev. Dr. Janet Wolf CDF Proctor Institute Director and Dean of the Dale P. Andrews Freedom Seminary
