Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans still haven’t punished Marjorie Taylor Greene for her outrageous behavior. With each passing day, their inaction shows that it’s far-right conspiracy theorists like Greene who are actually in charge of the Republican party.

Last week, The New York Times reported that Trump, who is still the frontrunner for the GOP nomination in 2024, believes a delusional conspiracy theory that he will be reappointed as President this summer. This, of course, will not happen – but these lies are incredibly dangerous. It’s vital for our democracy that the unhinged GOP doesn’t gain power any time soon.
