On Friday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton appeared on a podcast and spoke candidly with former Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon about the 2020 elections. Paxton made a disturbing public admission in the interview — Trump only won Texas because he ordered mail-in ballots meant for Black and Brown Harris County voters to be thrown out.
"Had we not done that, we would have been in the very same situation — we would've been on Election Day, I was watching on election night and I knew, when I saw what was happening in these other states, that that would've been Texas. We would've been in the same boat. We would've been one of those battleground states that they were counting votes in Harris County for three days and Donald Trump would've lost the election." -Ken Paxton
WATCH HERE: The state's leading legal authority (who is still under federal investigation for bribery) is no longer trying to hide his contempt for Black and Brown Texans. Ken Paxton has no shame in his game. We must not let him skate away without paying the consequences. It is time to hold the Attorney General accountable for breaking the law. Growing up in Fort Worth’s historic Como neighborhood, Marc Veasey didn’t dream about being an elected official. He just hoped that he would one day be able to make a difference in the lives of his friends and neighbors. That simple goal has taken him all the way to the halls of Congress, where he is proud to represent not only the friends and neighbors he grew up with but hundreds of thousands of diverse voices across North Texas. Now, as Congressman for Texas's 33rd District Marc Veasey serves as the Chair of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus and Co-Chair of the Congressional Blue Collar Caucus. Please consider making a contribution today to keep sending Marc Veasey back to Washington to fight for North Texas families. |
