This month marks an opportunity for all Canadians to participate in virtual activities and deepen our understanding of the unique heritage, cultures, and traditions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

We all have an important role to play in dismantling systemic inequalities and discrimination, and recommitting to a path of reconciliation, together.

Happy Pride!

Five years ago this summer, Justin Trudeau became the first Canadian Prime Minister to march in a Pride parade.

As many communities across Canada kick off pride celebrations, we will continue to stand with the LGBTQ2 community in the fight for human rights and equality.

More and More Virtual Days of Action:

Keeping Canadians safe and supported:

Our Liberal government will continue to do everything it takes, for as long as it takes, to keep Canadians safe, healthy, and supported.

To date, the federal government has delivered more than 30 million vaccine doses to provinces and territories, with millions more arriving in the weeks and months to come.

This means more loved ones, healthcare workers, and vulnerable people are safer and day by day more Canadians will be too. We will continue to have Canadians’ backs as we stay focused on delivering support for our communities and finishing the fight against COVID-19, together.

More money for families:

So many young families have seen unpredictable expenses from the impacts of COVID-19. That's why the Liberal government is announcing more support for approximately 1.6M families and over 2M children, through the Canada Child Benefit.

The Canada Child Benefit makes a vital impact, providing support to more families and parents across Canada, while helping give kids the best possible start in life.

Families could now receive up to $1,200 in support per child under the age of six in 2021.

Protecting a healthy environment:

While Erin O’Toole’s Conservatives voted to deny that climate change is real, our Liberal government is making crucial progress to protect a clean environment for generations to come and accelerate the fight against climate change.

June 1st also marked the beginning of Canadian Environment Week.

Building back better for everyone:

This month we have launched the Black Entrepreneurship Loan Fund. This is a $291.3 million investment to support the success of Black entrepreneurs and business owners.

The Loan Fund will give Black entrepreneurs and business owners access to financing to start-up, and grow across Canada. This will help to address the unique needs of Black business communities and help fight against systemic barriers.
