It’s not complicated. Medical decisions should be made between a patient and their doctor. Period.

But this year alone, Republican lawmakers in state legislatures across the country have introduced more than 500 anti-choice bills limiting reproductive freedom, restricting access to safe and legal abortion, or outright banning it — and several have already been signed into law.

Just last month, the Supreme Court’s 6-3 conservative majority agreed to hear a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade — one that could overturn the law and wipe out abortion access.

Anti-choice Republicans have been plotting this move for decades: Pack the Supreme Court with right-wing justices, pass unconstitutional abortion-ban bills in state legislatures, challenge Roe in the highest court, and implement a far-right agenda that would exist even after they leave office.

Well I won’t stand by and let Republicans topple Roe and the rights it guarantees. That’s why I just introduced legislation in the Senate to finally protect the right to abortion by federal law — the Women’s Health Protection Act.

We must protect the right to choose no matter what the Supreme Court decides. If you agree, add your name to become a citizen co-sponsor of the Women’s Health Protection Act.

I will always fight to protect reproductive rights. Thanks for signing on and fighting with me.
