Whether you teach summer school or attend professional development–and however long your actual time off is from teaching–we want to continue to support you and the work you do through the summer with quality resources and programs. Dear John,

This past weekend it finally started to FEEL like summer in the DC area: the cacophonous cicadas, the heat, the humidity. This time always reminds me that there are seasons to teaching as well as to life. Summer is often a time of reflection but more often a time of fervent planning. We learn from our work throughout the school year and research, lesson plan, and sometimes scheme our ways to improve our student experiences in the future!

BRI, like many of you, does not take the summer "off," but rather, we use this time to build to our next better version. In this upcoming year, we are coming back to you with new programs, resources, videos, and community opportunities! In the coming weeks, I will be letting you know about our new website features, our new service-learning/civic engagement resources, and so much more! What are you looking for?
