Harris Talks, Nothing Changes

"Border Czar" Kamala Harris arrived in Central America yesterday and received a very lukewarm welcome ([link removed]) . She was greeted by demonstrators, including some carrying signs that read, "Trump won," "Mind Your Own Business" and "Go home."

Harris was in Guatemala to discuss the crisis on our southern border with other Central American leaders. While Harris and other leftists in the administration are blaming the crisis on "root causes ([link removed]) " such as climate change and corruption, Central American leaders are blaming the open borders policies ([link removed]) of the Biden/Harris Administration.

Donald Trump was routinely denounced as an anti-Hispanic bigot by the left. Yet he had good working relationships with key leaders south of the border. He was able to make deals with these nations, and he secured their cooperation in stopping mass migration.

Unfortunately, the Biden Administration just couldn't resist the temptation to undo virtually everything Trump did on the border. And the result is painfully obvious.

Clearly, Democrats are feeling the heat. In her remarks yesterday, Harris said:

"Do not come. Do not come. The United States will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border. . . [We] will discourage illegal migration. And I believe if you come to our border, you will be turned back."

Let's be clear, however: Harris wasn't speaking to Central American migrants. Her audience was American voters watching the evening news. She had to be seen saying the right things. But as the adage goes, actions speak louder than words. Nothing has changed at the border.

Her statement is worthless. On the very day she said it, thousands of people crossed our border. They were not sent back. They were processed and sent into the interior of our country, with plane or bus tickets ([link removed]) paid for by your tax dollars.

While they are waiting to be processed, they are being put up in hotels ([link removed]) paid for with your tax dollars. They are being fed every day, paid for with your tax dollars. Many illegal aliens arrive with cell phones, which they use to call home and tell friends and relatives how easy it was to get in.

Harris's comments fly in the face of the reality at the border. We're now in the middle of the biggest illegal immigration crisis ([link removed]) in history.



Holt vs. Harris

NBC's Lester Holt pressed Harris about why she has yet to visit the U.S. border. Harris insisted that she has been to the border, so Holt clarified that she hasn't been to the border since becoming vice president and being appointed Biden's "border czar."

Harris responded ([link removed]) , "And I haven't been to Europe. I mean, I don't understand the point that you're making."

Clearly, she doesn't get it. And that's the problem with open borders liberals.

The border disaster is deeply hurting the country, but it is also hurting the left. Donald Trump exceeded expectations ([link removed]) with Hispanic voters in 2020, and Republicans just won a major upset victory in the border town of McAllen, Texas ([link removed]) .

He's Back!

As you know, the Obamas and the Bush family have a close relationship. While it's certainly possible to be friends with someone of the other party, I don't understand how George W. Bush can so easily embrace the Obamas given everything they did to unleash the radical left.

For example, Barack Obama was interviewed yesterday on CNN, and he used the time to smear Donald Trump and conservatives. Obama repeated the Charlottesville lie ([link removed]) , which he knows is a lie of the most vicious kind. Obama said that a president of the U.S. called neo-Nazis "very fine people."

That is beyond the pale, and CNN knows it ([link removed]) !

Since everyone knows former Presidents Bush and Obama are friends, it would mean a lot if George W. Bush would publicly state how angry and disappointed he is by Obama's vicious lie.

Obama also said that it's disturbing "when one of our major political parties is willing to embrace a way of thinking . . . that would be unrecognizable and unacceptable even five years ago or a decade ago."

Well, that sounds like Obama is describing his party today!

Who would have imagined that the party of FDR, Truman and JFK would do virtually anything to protect abortion-on-demand in all nine of months of pregnancy and subsidize it with taxpayer dollars?

Who would have imagined that the party of FDR, Truman and JFK would deny the basic science of biology, would embrace open borders and declare war on religious liberty, free speech and the right to own a firearm to defend your family?

Who would have imagined that the party of FDR, Truman and JFK wouldn't denounce Antifa but would denounce and defund the police?

Donald Trump did not call neo-Nazis "very fine people." But Barack Obama and his family did attend a church led by a racist pastor ([link removed]) who infamously said, "God damn America!" Barack Obama did pose for pictures with Louis Farrakhan ([link removed]) , who actually resembles Nazis with his rabid anti-Semitic views.



Speaking of Rabid Anti-Semitism. . .

While many Americans were honoring the heroes of D-Day this past Sunday, the Palestinian Authority was honoring a terrorist who brutally murdered two Israeli civilians in 2015. Palestinian officials, on orders from President Mahmoud Abbas, gave the family of the terrorist $42,000 ([link removed]) .

This is what the Palestinian Authority has done for decades. They fund terrorism, and they are supposed to be the moderates compared to Hamas, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad.

This is why Donald Trump and Mike Pence cut off funding to the Palestinian Authority. The difficult question is why Joe Biden restored funding ([link removed]) to the Palestinian Authority.

It's your money they are sending to Abbas to give away to radical Islamic supremacists. And in recent days, Biden vowed to rebuild Gaza ([link removed]) by sending even more money to the Palestinian Authority.

By the way, Mahmoud Abbas is a dictator now in the 17th year ([link removed]) of his four-year term. He infamously wrote his doctoral dissertation on Holocaust denial ([link removed]) . In Palestinian politics, that makes him a "moderate."

Not one dime of our taxpayer money should go to the Palestinian Authority. It makes us complicit in the Jew-hatred that permeates Palestinian society ([link removed]) .



Manchin Hits The Brakes

Over the weekend, Sen. Joe Manchin ([link removed]) of West Virginia slammed the brakes on the left's legislative juggernaut. He announced that he will not vote for HR 1, the left's attempt to nationalize all election laws and repeal all popular state voter ID laws. Manchin also reiterated his opposition to eliminating or weakening the filibuster.

Here are some points that are not in the headlines.
* There are rumors that as many as ten Senate Democrats don't want to get rid of the filibuster, but only Arizona's Kyrsten Sinema is courageous enough to say so publicly. The others are perfectly happy to let Manchin take all the punches, and the left is hitting him hard. They are accusing him of supporting white supremacy ([link removed]) .

* While I am thankful Manchin is taking these stands, he has supported virtually everything else that Chuck Schumer has put on the Senate floor. Manchin even voted to confirm extremist Kristen Clarke ([link removed]) .

* The liberal media loves bipartisanship whenever Republicans are in charge. When a John McCain or a Mitt Romney breaks ranks, he's a hero. But when it's Joe Manchin playing the McCain/Romney role, the liberal media attack him ([link removed]) . That just proves that all the talk about bipartisanship is really just about thwarting conservatives.
