We need your help – tell your state legislators to protect our freedom to vote by opposing the anti-voter bills SB 209/AB 177 and SB 204/AB 201. [[link removed]]

Regardless of the color of our skin, our background, or our zip code we should choose our leaders – not the other way around.
Legislators in Wisconsin are trying to pass bills that would restrict our freedom to vote. As voters, we must hold our elected officials accountable and ensure they create a transparent election process that all people can participate in. Your voice is imperative to making it clear to elected representatives you expect a fair, equitable democracy.

In Wisconsin’s 2020 general election, 53 percent of all votes were cast early in-person or by mail. In communities across the state, voters were able to have their voices counted at ballot drop boxes in convenient places like libraries and neighborhood buildings.

Now legislators have introduced Senate Bill 209 (SB 209) and Assembly Bill 177 (AB 177) which would limit cities and towns from having more than one absentee ballot dropbox. Additionally, they also introduced Senate Bill 204 (SB 204) and Assembly Bill 201 (AB 201). That bill would make it increasingly difficult for individuals to vote by mail, requiring voters to request an absentee ballot and upload a photo ID for every election.

We know these bills would have disproportionate impacts on voters in large cities, voters with limited transportation options, individuals with disabilities, and Black and Brown communities across the state.

We need you to stand up for voting rights and civil rights by contacting your state representative and senator to ask them to oppose these harmful bills. [[link removed]]
