There are a bunch of important primary races happening today all the way from Governor to County Board/City Council depending on where you are. You can find out more about your voter registration, ballot, and polling location by visiting https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation.

Come out and join us for our joint AYD & DCYD Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 18th at 5 pm! Location is the outdoor rooftop of 2228 MLK Jr. Ave. SE, Washington, DC. Someone will be on the main level to direct folks to the correct location. We hope to see you there!
What is Juneteenth?
"On June 19, 1865, Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas. He informed the enslaved African Americans of their freedom and that the Civil War had ended. This momentous occasion has been celebrated as Juneteeth -- a combination of June and 19 -- for over 150 years."

VDOT Virginia Commuter Survey Part 3
The COVID-19 pandemic is changing how many Virginians commute. The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has released the third survey in a series that aims to understand how commutes are changing and identify opportunities to improve commuting during and after this pandemic. County Board Seeks Feedback on Civilian Oversight of Police Department
In the coming weeks, the County Board will be studying these models, as well as others from around the Commonwealth and country, and encourages community members to provide their feedback and perspectives on the different models. Opportunities include:
- June 10 (3-6pm): County Board Work Session – Watch the livestream at www.arlingtonva.us or Arlington cable broadcast on Comcast Xfinity 25 or 1085(HD) and Verizon FiOS 39 & 40
- June 22 (6:30pm): County Board Hosts Civilian Review Board Community Engagement Listening Session.
- July 17 (9am): County Board Public Hearing on CRB
