If you agree that our democracy depends on protecting and expanding the right to vote and rooting out dark money and corruption from our politics, add your name next to Ilhan’s to call on the Senate to pass the For the People Act.

Here’s the deal: Our democracy thrives when more people participate, not less.

That’s why Ilhan fought to help pass the For the People Act in the House — sweeping election reform legislation that would not only expand access to the ballot box but end the corrupt influence dark money has on our politics.

But in the Senate, this critical bill faces the opposition of every single Republican and conservative Democrat Senator Joe Manchin — who just announced he won’t vote for it, calling it a “partisan” election reform.

Yet Republican legislatures in at least 14 states have passed highly partisan and dangerous restrictions to the ballot box this year alone.

The For the People Act is not partisan — it is an urgent measure that protects our democracy from Republicans’ bad-faith attempts to dismantle it, as well as silence the Black and Brown voices that have organized and voted for bold, progressive change.

We can’t afford to let the far-right undermine our democracy any further. Add your name to call on the Senate to pass the For the People Act as soon as possible to restore our democracy and strengthen the right to vote:

Thank you for speaking out to save our democracy.
