John,

Just a few months ago, a group of insurrectionists stormed the Capitol. They beat officers, threatened my colleagues, and destroyed one of our country's most sacred buildings. All of this because of Trump's big lie: That the 2020 election was stolen.

Not true.

Yet Republicans across the country are enacting new voter suppression laws -- some that would allow judges to overturn election results they don't agree with. This is a slap in the face to our democracy, and we have to act quickly.

I was proud to vote for the For the People Act when the House passed it on March 1st. But now, two of my Democratic colleagues in the Senate are twiddling their thumbs while our democracy is at stake.

We need all our senators to do their jobs and protect our democracy. Will you add your name and demand that they vote YES on the For the People Act?

By not passing this bill, we risk losing our democracy and becoming a country of far-right minority rule.

I'm not going to back down from fighting for what I believe in -- and if we want to win, you can't back down either.

Will you join me in demanding that the Senate pass the For the People Act?
