Dear Friend,

The COVID situation in Nepal is getting worse day by day and the vaccine is the only way to combat this global humanitarian crisis. Our members here in the U.S. are hearing of loved ones getting sick back home while Nepal remains in lockdown. Last week, the U.S. government said it would send 7 million COVID vaccine doses to be shared between 16 countries in Asia, including Nepal. This is far below what is needed to curb the pandemic’s spread in Nepal. We have yet to hear from the U.S. government on where the remainder of its surplus vaccine doses will go when they will be sent, and whether Nepal will receive any.

This is where we need your help. Tomorrow, June 9th, the House Foreign Affairs Committee will hold a hearing on the US’s international response to COVID-19. Call your House Representatives NOW to tell them to urge the Biden Administration to release all of its COVID vaccines IMMEDIATELY and to prioritize Nepal!

Below is a list of Representatives that are in the sub-committee that is holding the hearing. Find your representative here. If you live in any of their districts, please make sure to call your representative. Otherwise, call your own representative. If they do not answer, please leave a voicemail.
