Republicans in Congress are taking credit for the relief bill they tried to kill -- but Biden isn’t letting them get away with it:

'My Republican friends in Congress, not a single one of them voted for the rescue plan. Back in their districts, they’re bragging about the rescue plan. They touted the restaurant revitalization fund...they touted grants to community health care centers. Some people have no shame.' -- President Biden

The President even held up a list of the 13 Republicans who tried to obstruct the American Rescue Plan, but now want credit for its benefits -- including House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy.

If Republicans had it their way, the American Rescue Plan wouldn't have passed. That would have meant no additional stimulus checks, extended unemployment insurance, or funding for small businesses.
