friend,

On the heels of UnKoch My Campus’ newest report detailing Koch Foundation spending in Higher Education, we’ve launched our interactive search dashboard, which will allow users to find a particular school and follow the funding from 2005-2019.

The dashboard was created using a data set from our Funding Report. There are three different ways to use it: You can search using a school’s name to see how much money Charles Koch has donated from 2005-2019; you can view data as individual giving by year; and it also shows the data as a heat map in action, demonstrating how widespread Koch’s donations and influence have become.

Using tax records, we discovered that in 2019, Koch university funding totaled $112,044,071, (for a total of $458,482,015 since 2005). This is an increase of $24.24 million from 2018. It’s the second year in a row that Koch outspent it’s previous annual total by about $25 million. This one-year total is over a hundred million dollars more than Koch foundations spent annually on universities a decade ago, at $10.5 million in 2009.

This trend of increased giving is alarming, as more money equals more influence and manipulation of  academic freedom. That's why we're working harder than ever to help students, educators, and concerned citizens like you in kicking Koch off campus!

In Solidarity,

Jasmine Banks, Executive Director

UnKoch My Campus is a project dedicated to disrupting corporate influence on campuses nationwide by equipping campus activists with education, skills, and ecosystems of solidarity. The Koch network is leveraging its donations to colleges and universities to bolster its corporate agenda to halt action on climate change, put hundreds of thousands of people in prison, deny millions of people healthcare, and strip rights and wages from workers globally. We're building a mass movement of young people who are dedicated to disrupting this harm.
