2021 is a pivotal year for the planet, and all eyes are on the UK.
Right now, World leaders are convening in Cornwall for the G7 summit; they’ll gather again in Glasgow for the crucial COP26 climate conference in November.
Will they seriously address the climate and ecological emergency or will they continue to greenwash our burning future?
COP history shows that the key decisions are made BEFORE the conference. So this Summer is the best chance we have to influence them.
Extinction Rebellion is rising up out of lock down to demand truth and action NOW.
We're cooking up some very special UK-wide actions, starting with the G7 summit in Cornwall this weekend, a huge action to ‘Free the Press’ later this month, and an official UK REBELLION in August - not to mention COP26 in November and a smörgåsbord of local and regional actions, right through the year.
Every action helps to recruit more supporters - meaning more voters putting pressure on MPs.

- £10 can support a young rebel to travel by coach to an action
- £30 can pay for a banner, to send a clear message of climate emergency
- £50 can print a thousand flyers to share with passers by, each one sowing a seed of change
COP26 will mark five years since the Paris Agreement, and the truth is, none of the G7 nations are delivering on the promises they made in 2015 to keep global warming below 1.5ºC.
In favour of profit, the UK Government is ignoring its own scientists, who warn we could be heading for a devastating 4ºC, which is likely to cause billions of deaths – with racially marginalised communities, and those in the Global South on the front line.
But we know another world is possible - one that repairs the harm, prepares for crises to come, prioritises togetherness and wellbeing.
Not everyone can join us on the streets, but your support will give us the best chance of realising that vision.
