"Texas walkout sets up epic battle over voting rights"

First, Texas state House Democrats WALKED OUT to prevent passage of a bill that would dramatically restrict voting rights and make it easier for Republicans to overturn election results!
Then, they pleaded with Congress to SAVE VOTING RIGHTS across the country by passing the For the People Act -- one Democrat said they were "crawling on [their] knees begging."
Now, the Senate is expected to take up the For the People Act in just two weeks. We have to make sure it passes!

Democratic Majority Leader Schumer has called the For the People Act his "top priority" and said that "We will fight and fight and fight to get this done legislatively. Failure is not an option. Too darn much is at stake."
He's right, John! Experts agree that American democracy is in mortal danger. We have one chance to get this right -- we NEED the For the People Act!
